So I just left a factory in Houston, and before I could even turn out into the street a cop nabbed me for no seatbelt. $178

But he didn’t do a inspection or ask for anything. He said that it won’t go against my company this way.

So does this still count on me ?

The last 2 companies I worked for, a seat belt ticket was automatic termination.

Well, how would they know if there was no inspection ?

Just a fine right ? So it should be fine

It was a local cop if you didn't get an inspection report you're good on the psp report. I received one in ny a few years back with a pa license and it showed up on my mvr report. If you are a company driver you are required to report it to the company. In the long run of things I wouldn't lose no sleep over it. All the best to you buckle up :D:D

    you can still fight it..

call the number on the ticket and say that YOU WILL pay the fine but for a lesser charge, like maybe in your personal vehicle? all they want is the money.

then IF this does show up on your DMV report, it was in your car, not a CMV..

you got nothing to lose but some time

make sure you speak with someone in the prosecutors office, sometimes, some places, a court clerk "might" be able to accomplish this as well.

Thanks for the insite, I’m just afraid of getting fired. Girlfriend and her two kids are moving halfway across the country so we can all live together. Would hate to lose my job over something like this
