    hi all
I have a 2005 kw t800 log truck. The previous owner used an acid wash on it and the hood and cab are streaked. I’ve tried detailing clay, fiberglass cleaner and steel wool on the stainless grill. Suggestions?

New paint job will take care of all that. What your worried about is cosmetic. I would focus more making sure the engine is running top notch. When it runs..... it makes money.

You need a detail guy to chime in. Do you have an instagram account? I could point to a few fellas that might could help you out.

Have you tried plain old polishing compound? Try it first, or carefully use rubbing compound, then polishing compound. I think it’s called DuPont # 7. If that doesn’t work try light water sanding w/ 1000 . Or very carefully 600 then 1000. Check into it first, as I’m going from memory only.

Honestly, go look for a good detail guy.
Or just run it as is.
    Alternately, get a vinyl wrap.

If it’s ‘05 I’m guessing that it’s clear coat. I’m thinking the clear is probably shot and there might not be any saving the paint.
A day cab, single color, quality base/clear coat, by a quality shop will be in the area of 10,000.00
