Second trucker to ever survive a plunge off of the CBBT finally speaks on terrifying ordeal

Is the bridge peoperly lit at night? The son is about to cross the CBBT around midnight time.

My son will be taking his first trip across the CBBT after his Purdue pickup, destined for NC. He's got to release air from the trailer to comply with the height regulation or be turned around and waste about 100 miles.

 

So his company sent him a video on how to release the air in the trailer. We could not believe what we saw....a guy actually bending the rod to release the air bags. I tried uploading the mp4 here but I could not do it. My assumption is the rod should be pulled out of the frame at the bottom.

 

that doesn't sound like a very professional way to handle it.

That would be a 100 mile trip. But his load was not ready! He's sitting at Purdue for 18hrs now.
