Securing a truck for a sick driver in hospital?

A driver at the company is very ill and went to hospital. I am supposed to get his trailer, leave his tractor, make his delivery. His keys are in the truck, last we heard.

Is there any way you can think of for me to leave his truck locked and keys inside when I grab his trailer? I am guessing his truck is a 0-2 year old Freightliner. Or what's a better way if you have one?

Can you put the keys on the dipstick or in a magnetic key holder somewhere hard to find?

So far hiding the key somewhere on the truck is all I can think of.

Mail the keys back to them? You can fedex and the recipient will pay for it, then they can get reimbursed from their company, if they want them.

It's "secure" in some way, despite who we see in the ditches. :D

Give the keys to the hospital administration with his name, room #, truck make and model and license# and truck #, written on a piece of their... stationary, along with a name or two. Take pictures of the keys on the paper and send a copy to the driver and the company.

Zip tie the keys under the hood somewhere. Take pic and send it to him. Used to keep a spare key like that all the time

I've done this before. guy had a heart attack. he was back in 2 weeks.

picked up the trailer at a little truck stop.

left the keys at the fuel desk ,with a name and number of terminal dispatch.

Find out his room number and give em to a nurse to give to him.

I'm guessing hospitals still aren't allowing visitors.
