I want to work out of AGY Transportation in Lockport, IL. They need me to find a team driver in order to hire me. Someone who’s been consistent. I had 2 years experience then took 3 years off the truck. After 3 years, I went with Western Express and they had bad equipment. They wouldn’t let me get the Jake brakes and cruise controls fixed. So I had to be creative and was getting tired of it. So I left in less than 60 days and companies won’t hire unless I gave it 45 more days or 225 more days with other companies. I took a work gap due to health and personal reasons. I am a non smoking female 33 y o and my work ethic is average. I like to drive 3.5 hours each and take a 30 min break between those sessions. I never done a 1099 company before but I know how to put taxes aside since I’ve driven for uber and Lyft. I’m also out of California. A lot of places won’t hire people with California CDLs. I would prefer someone who likes to talk on the phone. Let’s know each other well and if you got time to drop by in my area, that would be even better just so we know how we will be teaming. I am also very clean. Some people run really hard but don’t care about safety, cleanliness, etc. For now I will be driving for uber and if I can’t find a good team driver, there’s always Freymiller.

You need to raise your standards up. Driving for a 1099 position as a team driver has to be the lowest of the low.
Yes Freymiller would be better and I know nothing about them.

How so? Can you elaborate? AGY offers new equipment, coverage on tolls, etc I already know the owners of Freymiller and I may have to apply with them when winter season comes because I never was trained winter driving and a recruiter lied I didn’t need to worry about it but they admitted I would have to face it eventually.
