i wonder if there are driver facing cameras, just to make sure the stand-by driver does not fall asleep, when he should be monitoring

in the end, i am still as totally against self driving vehicles of ANY kind, on our roads.

I own a “self driving” driver assisted vehicle and I can definitely say it takes HUGE stress off the long drives I take during the summer.

You don’t feel nearly exhausted after 5 hours behind the wheel like normal vehicles.

I fully support this move with technology because it will make roads safer ( in the warmer climates as of now )

There is still a lot of learning to do on snowy roads though - granted it works, just not 100% like warm roads.

    Your wife driving doesn’t count.

Steve Wozniak of Apple founding fame makes a convincing argument that all of the technological "party tricks" and every media article about this subject is just an orchestrated effort by the venture capitalists backing this to stir up hype to attract investors.

This idiot techie envisions level 4 driverless trucks moving freight between hubs where local guys will take over. Wow what a concept ,maybe someone should show this dingleberry a set of railroad tracks.
