Yep, they test them all year long up here at the U of M test track.

 

If or when self driving is available for CMVs who will do the Pre-Trip?

Are you suggesting those are actually being done now?

 

In someone's world all drivers are happy, do pre trip, mid trip and post trip inspections while maintaining timely logs.

 

I'm looking forward to seeing them all spun out on every hill. Or spun out and sliding back down before jack knifing into the ditch.

Self driving trucks are a pipe dream anywhere the conditions aren't ideal.
