For those of you who own your own trailers, have you heard of anyone doing this? Would you?
I've seen trailers covered in graphics before, just wondering if those are only trailers leased by the shippers long term (Coke, etc) or do trailer leasing companies sell advertising space on their equipment, etc?
Any info would be appreciated.
Thanks!

Most trailer with large logos or signage are either owned by the company who owns the logo, or are leased long term by the company. Very rarely do companies put their signage on independently owned trailers. Most independent owners tend to keep their trailers fairly plain, and not logo them. It could limit what you can haul in the trailer if you have a logo from one company on your trailer and have to go to one of their competitors. For example, if you are hauling into the Coca Cola plant, they wil not be overjoyed to see their load arriving in a truck that has giant Pepsi logos emblazoned on the side.
There are exceptions, like the Marine Corps and their advertising on trailers, but their "product" does not conflict with that of any shipper. -
That makes sense.
Our "product" is a candidate for US President. One who happens to oppose the "mexican truck" pilot program.
Any idea if there's a "commercial" forum where we could offer this sort of sponsorship? Some kind of buy/sell/trade type forum for truckers?
Thanks again. -
There is a paid advertising section on this forum. Or......
Advertise in several local front range papers from Pueblo to Cheyenne for O/Os that are looking for extra revenue. If you use that cling stick on peal off material I'm sure you'll have at least a few takers.
Let us know how it goes. -
politics and religion i would stay away from advertising
you dont wanna get stuck at a shipper or receiever argueing about either of those -
I thought truckers LIKED to argue religion or politics. Or anything.

On a serious note, though, I'd be concerned about vandalism... defacement of property... if a trailer "advertised" something controversial. -
That already happens on plain white trailers with no names at all on them. -
Thanks for the feedback guys.
Not sure what the removable "cling stuff" is, but it sounds interesting. -
Call these guys and ask them. Its where I heard about it. They say that its a fraction of the price compared to air brushing.
