I’ve ran 100% Lucas on my steer hubs and trailer hubs and never had one leak.

Maybe you are on to something with the front brake Chambers. Maybe I should replace them. The more I think about it I like the sound of that.

As far as the cams go, they're worn out and shot. The truck came to me with eight hundred and something thousand miles on it, and it would not surprise me if those guys never changed the cams or bushings.

There is no need for a dial indicator to check the play. It's a massive amount. I don't even think those guys changed the drums, only shoes. Very deeply scored and worn out. The brakes were wearing crooked, and they were actually cracked and broken. And on top of that the shoes themselves were some kind of crazy off-brand cheap thing.

It was a similar situation with the back brakes. The cams were so worn out that all you had to do was look at the shaft and it was visible to the eye, massive wear.

Like I said, it amazes me what people let go.

But that is a good thought to replace the front Chambers, thank you.

    All new.

I’m not sure unitized hubs were even available in 95. They’re expensive. Dealer sells new hub kit. Races already installed, and bearings. Check out single nut vs. double nut design. I’d like to Change mine over to single design. Its a better system. Lucas hub oil. Good stuff. A little extra protection, should you need it.

I've never had to replace a S cam in my 30 years of trucking. But I do own a grease and do use it.:)
