Has anybody here worked for or currently working for Shamrock out of Phoenix? If so what is your experience with them? I have about 5 years of experience and currently at one of the megas working 7 days a week for $600-900 take home and looking to find something that pays better with better work/life balance.

Not Shamrock but have you looked at Duncan and son. I knew a couple of guys working there. The ports in LA can be a pain. Buddy said they that they treat drivers very well, pay is way over what you are now making. They are home 3x per week plus every weekend.

My son worked there in Vegas though. He said they had an incentive bonus if you completed your route which made the pay over $40.00 an hour he claims. But, he quit less than a year because they took that bonus incentive away to all drivers. So it wasn’t worth it anymore, he said the work is extremely physical when you have to work with ramp trailers and walking thru casino.

I didn't work for Duncan, but I did run the ports alongside them. If you can put up with the downsides of Can Hauler Life, their drivers all seemed happy and the company really seems to have their stuff together. They should, after almost 80 years doing it.The_vett and azheavyduty Thank this.

I’ll look into Duncan to see what they have available, thank you! 7 days a week for $700-800 take home isn’t worth it anymore.Speedy356, Grumppy, navypoppop and 1 other person Thank this.

I havent worked for either Duncan or Shamrock, but theyre both always hiring. Shamrock is a pretty physical job, but the drivers that I talked to seemed to like their routes and were happy. Duncan, I talked with when I moved to phoenix years ago. They were nice and upfront about everything, but suggested that I may not be happy there, as I was used to making more money and was used to hauling tankers and hazmat at the time. I respected that and kept an eye on them over the years. They have some pretty smart people there, who believe in keeping the company up to date with tech and resources. Their trucks are so much better than several years ago, and the majority of their guys I talked to were really happy. You wont make the most money there, but its predicable.

I worked for white mountain last 2 years. Right next door to duncan..decent company but its regional work. Pay is decent. I was taking home 1500-1700 every week but i was one of the hardest runners in the company.. mileage based pay .58 is the start .. all flatbed work. fantastic equipment and dispatch keeps u running and leaves u alone. Office staff is great, shop is great...
Also on that same street with duncan and white mountain is CTI the tanker company. they have a local terminal there, i think they haul acid and other chemicals. No idea what they pay, but just another option... If ur interested in white mountain i can get u the phone number to the boss, or if u wanna see some pay stubs or whatever. Shoot me a private messageThe_vett Thanks this.
