I was really considering these guys truckerswife5591. I hate to sound rude but could your old man just be trying to stay away from the house? I'm just saying some men leave without leaving. Johnny Taylor say it's cheaper to keep her.

You know its really odd that everyone else has fairly good things to say about them and how you get good hometime. But only one negative response?

Makes you wonder if the negative responder has something against them?

Yep its the real deal for local drivers. Dedicated drivers get $1000 per week and benefits paid! I just started with them last week!

New to the site, not new to the industry. I would appreciate any information both positive and negative on Sharkey aka STL out of Quincy, IL.

They run set lanes in the midwest. Running reefer and dry van. Its about 70% drop and hook. There are 3 schedules to choose from.

    A) 1 1/2 days off each week at least (Monday-Friday)... you will be required to work Saturday and Sunday as part of your work week. But you are home every week! Pay is .40cpm loaded and .30 cpm empty. (most loads are loaded)

    B) You can choose to work, out 15 days and off for 3 days, followed by, out 15 days and off 4 days. Its up to you. Pay is .40cpm loaded and .30 cpm empty. (most loads are loaded)

    C) You can be home weekends and the milage pay is .35 cpm.

The lanes are set up on 2700 to 2800 miles lanes. The 15/4 15/3 drivers get more miles.

You get to take your truck home and its assigned to you. The pays is about $1100 to $1000 per week gross. The local guys do about $800. The benefits are paid not only for me buy the whole family. That saves me about $400 per month.

My trainer at Prime went to Sharkey. At the time they were promising $1000 min per week, and over that if the mileage went your way -- not sure what the rate was. Home every weekend. While he was working for them (when things were good last summer) they came through on that deal. He was broken down a lot - seems as though they weren't very good on maintenance.
