Sherwin Williams crashes into home after car runs stop sign in their path

Guardian Angels are on overtime!!!
Based on what I’m seeing both the house and the garage might be condemned due to the extent of the damage!!!
Hazmat cleanup (diesel fuel spillage,spillage of the paint payload the truck was hauling).
That SUV driver is screwed.

 

Portion of that house is off the foundation , cheaper to rebuild than save i'd estimate .

 

I'm so glad this crssh wasn't the fault of the truck driver. This driver going to receive a nice settlement in a few months.

 

While this one is 110% on the car. Hell even looking at the intersection you have hedges and what looks like a wall, so the truck driver likely couldnt even see the car till the last second. Some billboard lawyer is likely going to get involved and you know for a fact that when insurance wont cover everything. Every single person involved is going to be getting sued.

Sad to say but both buildings are off the foundation and as such are a total writeoff from an insurance PoV. So your out the cost of 2 buildings, multiple vehicles, god only knows what was in the home. The cleanup costs due to enviromental concerns (easily half a mil there depending on how much fuel, oil, coolant, paint ect spilled maybe even upto a mil of say a couple hundred gallons of oil based paint hit the ground) rebuilding costs and more.

This was a multi million dollar wreck easily by the time cleanup, vehicles and the home are done. Literally everyone involved is getting sued.

 

According to the news report the wife of the homeowner also stated that her husband also had at least one or two Harley Davidson motorcycles in the garage.
Once a Harley is written off in an accident like this,all bets are off!!!
If you destroy someone’s Harley said someone is going to be acting like John Wick and destroying everything and everyone in their path to find those responsible!!

You couldn’t pay me any type of money in the world to be an insurance adjuster or underwriter for this accident!!

This is going to be like an insurance equivalent of the Mexican standoff!

It’s one helluva mess!

 

Somewhere there is at least one head shaped hole in a wall after someone got called to deal with this wreck

 

Did I tell you that the Sherwin Williams driver is in line for a nice settlement?

 

Oh yeah,worker’s compensation claim and a half!
As for the SUV driver,they can kiss their insurance premiums (and possibly their whole policy alongside it) goodbye!
After a SUBSTANTIAL claim like that that driver might be uninsurable!
Sherman Williams and the truck driver might be getting a brand new Volvo VNL out of the deal!

 

Only if the truck driver was not speeding.
