Removed shifting post and replaced it now truck does not shift to some of the gears? Any help will be much appreciated

Model of trans? Or make? Truck brand/ model

If it worked good before, you touched it, and now it doesnt work i suggest you revisit the work that was done.
If the tower was off it could easily be installed incorrectly outside of the slot it is supposed to be in.
