Because in the company's system, one driver is one driver. One truck is one truck. One customer is one customer.

They make no differences. Experienced or not, plenty of room or not doesn't show up on their screens.
That's how new drivers get in trouble really quick.

The OP diagnosed some of his shortcomings already. He already knows where he needs to improve badly.
I hope he has a chance to talk to an employer who is willing to listen. Sad enough that insurance companies run the show.

    Craigslist has a transportation section.
Many drivers in your situation and worse, find jobs there.
Submit applications or make dozens of phone calls and leave dozens of phone messages.
One guy on here had a dozen fender benders driving a taxi , got his CDL, then found a decent job on Craigslist.

You got it in your first post.

If you are in the middle of a turn, and a car comes flying up to the area you need for your turn, STOP. If said motorist becomes obstinate and refuses to move, pop your brakes and wait. They will curse and revile. Guess what you DON’T do? Never back up. If you need the cops, call them.

I’ve had them refuse to move. I’ve had them come around pilot cars. I have watched them get arrested after arguing whether or not driving is a right or a privilege.

You had to cut your turn short and ran over a stop sign. That was Stupid. You have to make a habit of making smarter choices than that. Yes, I know… car sees you and guns it. Gotta beat the big rig. You cannot allow anyone, whether in the truck, on the phone, or in a 4 being obnoxious with the horn, to throw you off your game. There are places that you have to back into off of a busy street or highway. Don’t let it affect you. It’s just another day in the office.

    Luck in battle.
