    Reminds Me of the old Triple Crown Roadrailers. A 53’ trailer, with train wheels. Trailer would ride in on the rails, then hook it to a Truck, lift the wheels, and deliver locally. They were a pita.

    I learned that when I tried to run from Huntington WV to Bluefield VA on the “left” side of WV.

    HOW MANY TIMES CAN ONE GO UP AND DOWN IN A SINGLE STATE?!?

    I’ve often wished for some loads I could pull into a rail yard, drop the trailer on one car, and fit two bobtails on another car and hit the sleeper while rolling through the country side.

    Then I remembered, I was the most expensive part of that equation, and no way they’d ever make that a thing.
