You may not need to look for another driving job anymore. They will take your CDL for driving an unsafe truck.. Be safe for your familys sake. They need you more then that trucking co. Trucking co can replace you, your family can't. But, that's what i call OILFIELD TRASH.. Been there done that, not worth it. Ask yourself a question? Is the risk worth the reward?????
    Good Luck.

All of those are DOT violations.

Glad hand falling off is def dot. Brakes not adjusted properly is also DOT and if they constancy need adjustment is problematic slack adjusters.

Im pretty sure the u joint would be dot, but atleast you would have the risk of the truck breaking down.

Dif lock is not requiered to work, but it is required not to leak air.

Heater is dot required as well as defrost.

All of that should put the truck out of service, although i'm not sure about the driveline. Everything else def would.

Schools don't teach students everything they need to know. There's not enough school time for that. They teach you just enough to get your CDL.The real learning is with a starter company and the trainer.

No you don't ask for an inspection. Yes you will get a ticket(s) and your CSA scarred.
You can try filing a complaint here with the DOT and they'll probably go to the terminal and pull a surprise inspection. Either that or they'll start targeting the trucks on the road.

If a truck is broke and unsafe it is broke and unsafe. Just because your company is too sorry to fix it the second you start driving it you are just as guilty as them. Have a drunk run a red light and hit you and you'll still be sued for everything you own and that family will win.

The way it's suppose to work is you put your foot down. The company either fixes it or gets mad and fires you. Then you file an online complaint with OSHA and they will force the company to reinstate you with back pay if not awarded compensatory and punitive damages if it went that far.

It's either that or you quit and get a new job which is what I would do. You are putting yourself out there for a big life's regret. Think about it. No one is exempt from an accident and your world could be turned upside down quickly.
Document the truck's problems with the dates. Keep a copy. Quit, file unemployment and you will win when you can prove he is forcing you to drive unsafe equipment.

New employers want a driver with a clean CSA score.

This is what I don't get,you try and do the right thing by turning in your company for unsafe garbage but because you're driving it you also get penalize.FMCSA should take into consideration the drivers are trying to help make our roads safe.

Yeah there is no easy fix. The only thing a driver can do is do their homework before they hire in with such companies. That's one purpose of the Trucker's Report is to share the knowledge of these yahoo's.

I drove for a shady company and knew it the second I entered the yard and seen the garbage and the trk I got stuck with.Reason I took the job and stayed there was because I had a bogus charge on my mvr and no one would hire me.I was there almost 3 yrs and had like 10 trks.Went from one headache to another. It wasn't pretty how I got fired but ultimately the company got theres at the end.
