I don't make the production decisions for Paccar. I also didn't stay at a Holdiay Inn last night...

Pete just put money into the 389 line with the new instrument cluster. I would think, that if they wanted to kill off the 389, they wouldn't have done that. Additionally, it is one of their best selling models and has a good profit margin.

What did you end up doing with the new 389?

Unfortunately that’s what fleets want. Wider appeal to people make them drive like a mini van. Small fleets don’t mean didly to shareholders. Big fleets buy thousands a year. Us small fellas can go get bent essentially

Peterbilt just put money into the 389 line, to give guys that want a hood, an updated truck. On the KW side, they kept the W900 old school for guys that want that functionality.

Overall, Paccar has given a man choices, which is a good thing. You want a hood, with bells and whistles, check out the 389. You want a truck without the electronic tech, spec out a W900 or T800!!! That is plenty of options for someone to find the hood, with the specs and tech they want.
