Oh also new cdl drivers are coming out of school expecting no less than 1300 a week or so, what do you think all those guys will want when they are experienced and 60% of the driver pool in 2 to 3 years? Yeah drop it back down to 2 or less a mile nationwide average and you will see a trucker shortage..

For those who like me learned from their Dad or Grandad... you think they’ll go through a school? Hell no they’ll just operate on the farm. My 5 yr old will drive trucks no doubt on the farm or be outlaws but going to some school? lol I doubt it.Last edited: Dec 5, 2021

It isn’t that farm kid that can’t drive a truck it’s those being so called trained by someone who himself or herself just got their CDL a month earlier but that’s old news and been the problem from the get -
It is time to buy a truck, new one, 200k+ will take around 30+? months to pay it off if freight prices will, at least, stay the same as now and you'd work 24/7/30/365 and make double payments. And it is just to pay it off and come to a zero)

No rush to pay off a loan. Interest is deductible. Credit is good to have. Working capital is key. Don’t be broke when you start an endeavor.
