So I have my own authority, insurance, plates, etc, but want to sign on with another carrier. I'm being told that I have to cancel my MC and basically everything in order to legally sign on to another carrier. This doesn't seem right to me. Anyone have experience with this?
Signing on- I have to do what?

Why did you do all that if you were looking to lease on?
-
Looks like I won't be getting back into the oilfield if I have to end my own business. -
Yes
You have to run their numbers
You can put yours on pause (inactive) and it won’t really matter as you have new numbers anywaysUItraman Thanks this. -
I guess I wasn't expecting the headache the government was wanting to give for simply leasing onto another carrier. -
I have 3 dot numbers paused and have been for years
I run my own plates and pay for my own insurance on my truck through OOIDA
Run their numbers, cargo Ins, comp, and flagUItraman and singlescrewshaker Thank this.
