Go to best buy, or the truck stop and they should have a vehicle kit which come with everything. The actually radio, the dock plus mount, antenna and the aux and power wires.
The radio goes into the dock which gets mounted to your dash or wherever you want it. All the wires connects to the dock. What I like is I can just take the radio out the truck and connected it to a different dock like in my car and still listen to xm radio.
It's a 12v plug but I got a usb power plug from ebay instead. Auxiliary goes into your radio to the dock. And the antenna goes outside the truck. Now there's an actually truck antenna that gets mounted on the mirror. Cost about $60 - $80. But the stock antenna works fine for me. Basically you need to put it as high as you can get it. If you head northbound and the radio stop working, it needs to be higher. For me, I get 2 out of 3 bars going northbound which is okay. It will stop playing when I go under a bridge, hill, tunnel or big trees. Not enough to make me grab a ladder and stick it higher but just a few seconds gap. Cost me $17 with taxes a month. It's always on, it keeps me awake, you can use xm radio as a tax deduction because it has traffic/weather channel which us truckers use for our job

I'm currently driving a 2004 International 9200 with the stock Panasonic radio that says International on the front.
What do you think would be the best way to go about putting this in my truck?
My uncle suggested replacing the entire head unit with a radio that has a Satellite Tuner built into it, which would be $200, or I could just buy the Satellite radio.
Also, my stock radio has the CD player, and it has a button on the front that says AUX but I can't seem to find anywhere to plug in an AUX Input. -
I wouldn't want to mess with the fm mod especially on newer units.
So then I would either replace it with a Head Unit that has built in XM or get a cheaper one with Aux inputs.
Then get something like an
Onyx Plus Receiver with Vehicle Kit. -
I was just about to say Balakov, I linked the Edge on my previous post but was describing the Onyx Plus. Yes very different models and I see you researched it and figured that out.

It goes in-line with your trucks radio antenna. Basically kills the antenna when you power on your reciever doing away with all interference. Grab you a second vehicle kit for your personal vehicle and that way you can pull your sat rad reciever and use it in your car as well. -
I ordered the unit you suggested today, should be in by Thursday.

Sounds good.
I wish I could look myself but my truck is in the shop for turbo problems, I guess it uses a regular antenna plug because mine uses the CB antenna for the radio antenna -
Well, I've had the unit a week now, and it sure is nice.
All kinds of channels I like: E Street, 80's, 70's, Hair Band, ESPN, NPR, Fox News...
I'm used to listening to FM, searching and searching for something to listen to, avoiding all the bible channels, the rap, the country...finally finding NPR and getting interested in a good story about something, and then after 30 minutes it starts fading into static
But now, each channel is as clear as a bell, always there, and never fades out.Very nice!!
I ended up running the antennae under the weatherstripping on the right side door, and onto the roof. The magnet doesn't seem to stick to plastic, so I just taped it down with some strong fiber-packing tape, lol. It works!
Thanks for all the help, guys!Dna Mach Thanks this. -
