Jack them up and check for being out of round. It doesn't take much.

Did that as they were on the balancer. Twice.
Mounted on truck and spun them on jack; they sure looked OK by eye.
I'm gonna have a friend drive along next to me on the highway and see what's up here.

    Intothesunset and kemosabi49 Thank this.

All the major top tier tire manufacturers have tire plants all over the World, a Michelin or Bridgestone tire made in Vietnam or Thailand isn’t any worse than the same exact tire made in the U.S.A.

    It’s all about quality control.

6 new tires. No used anything. 2 steer and 4 lugger tread for winter on rear.
All mounted properly w/ no run-out.

Actually stood there and watched him; good tire tech, you can tell.
He did exactly that, ran it a second, time to check the weights - came up 00.
    Good suggestion, tho.

One thing you haven't said is how many miles you have with the new tires.......

I use centering sleeves on all positions and the best Michelin tires in my size. The sleeves insure that the wheels are mounted true. They are a bear to get the wheels off the hub when changing tires but that is ok as it isn’t my back. They weren’t cheap but could possibly help you, my tires wear evenly and have zero shakes yet.

    Intothesunset and OldeSkool Thank this.
