How does public law 113-45 apply in regards to all this? Can companies still force extra requirements above and beyond the finalized fmcsa/dot regulations in light of it?

Sleep apnea is going to increase the 'driver shortage' as the proposed regulations are aimed at people with a neck over 17" plus over 42 years old and with any of a variety of conditions usually related to older drivers, high blood pressure, etc. just at the time when a large percentage of experienced drivers are over 40 and overweight, etc.

    It will get messy

Sounds like Concentra to me. I won't bore you with the ebola question I was forced to answer.

Companies can mandate anything they want, you have a choice to work there, or not to work there.
