I don't how you all do it , sleep listening to your reefer cutting on and off , your or the truck next to you apu running or sleep in a moving truck .
It's only been 11 days for me, but I struggle with all 3 of those . I'm going to try listening to soft music in my ear buds to cover up the noise and see what happens. Sleeping while truck is rolling, that one I don't know .
Sleep deprived, how do you sleep while OTR/parked next to APU?

These recently came out:
Bose noise-masking sleepbuds | Bose
I'm curious as to how they perform, seems like it could be a useful product for some drivers out there.KB3MMX, IluvCATS and Metallica88 Thank this. -
You’ll get used to the noise the same way you get used to sleeping with another after being a bachelor for years. A moving truck? Good luck with that.
Broke Down 69, QuietStorm, MachoCyclone and 3 others Thank this. -
Eventually you’ll get better sleep in. the truck than you do at home. Sounds funny but will happen. Eventually that diesel humming or reefer motor will put you to sleep.

Lite bug, Swiss Mountain Dog and IluvCATS Thank this.

That's one reason I run continuous. It's such a Z generator.
Find yourself a plush Super 8 somewhere quiet and get a whole day of sleep on your next 34. Don't worry about nothing but sleep until you are sick of it. That is when you are fresh and ready for the next round of trying to sleep in a semi.
If it's really bad, I sometimes find a mountain and set the truck so that the bunk is on a upslope and sleep really well that way regardless of the situation.BigDog Trucker and KB3MMX Thank this. -
QuietStorm, KB3MMX, Lepton1 and 2 others Thank this.

If the reefer is keeping you up find a spot where you can set the trailer down and pull away from it.Make sure it's not going to sink.Like that other hand said, after awhile you get used to it.I personally sleep better in a truck then I do in my own bed.
Pondraing, Broke Down 69, TaterFox and 3 others Thank this.
