What size bed is there for husband/wife teams? My wife and I are a bit large. We're wondering if we'll have to utilize both the top and bottom bunks or if they provide a large bottom bunk for husband/wife teams. Any info is greatly appreciated.

Husband and wife teams don't sleep together much... 1 is driving while 1 is sleeping.
You will be utilizing the bottom bunk most of the time. They do make bigger but you got to pay for them....

Good Luck, hope to be teaming with my wife in about 3mo's

Hi. We team drive and unless you buy your own truck with an extra large sleeper cab you will get the standard "twin" size bunk. Here's the thing about teaming, the whole point is for one to drive while the other sleeps so most of the time you'll take turns sleeping in the lower bunk. If you're like most of us you'll use that top bunk for storage space, strap the stuff in and only unload it in the rare times you stop and both sleep.

Good luck on the new adventure!

The beds are what the truck/sleeper manufacturer install. I've been out awhile so I'm not sure what they measure. I'm guessing ample would be an overstatement. I think most team operations have double bunks nowdays.

Thanks everyone for the great info! My wife and I are planning to start as company drivers and possibly buy our own rig after a couple years. I've read that some husband/wife teams shut down for 6-8 hours each day depending on when they need to be at their destination. Thanks again everyone for the info!

the peterbilt 70" ultra sleeper has a queen sized bed. it fold up and there is a work station under it. unfortunatly they only made that sleeper a few years from like 2000 to 2005 or something like that
