any long tractor will give problems at certain places

The max length of the sleeper all depends on the states overall lenght laws and the length of your trailer. Its basically just a factor of what your gonna be doing and where ya run.
-
If you stay on a national network there is no overall length restrictions. The biggest peterbilt ever built has a 386 inch wheelbase and is all sleeper. I do not remember the lenght of the sleeper but it is huge. There are very few places that you can not go with long wheelbase, it just take some extra effort.

Where I am from, there is no restriction on the size of your sleeper. I have seen some monsters over the years. Saw one that had a shower/toilet all self contained. Reminded me of a RV. Hell of a truck, hardwood floors and a rocking chair.

if you notice most of those big sleeper trucks are Either bedbugs or drivers pulling tradeshows and stuff like that...you know take a trade show to NYC sit there 3 days reload the show take to Chicgao then sit another 3 days..you wont see very many of them hauling frieght.

And I want pictures to prove it !!! -

Canada is the only place long wheelbase tractor are not allowed. I beleive the longest wheelbase allowed into canada is 285.
Some states like Florida doesn't allow overall length over 75' if pulling a trailer longer than 48'. So most of us large cars just pull 48' trailers. -
Tried to go into canada many years ago with a w900, was too long. Wheelbase limit was 244".
