I'm not talking about the Schneiders or the Martens of trucking, but more the Florilli's or Dynamic transports of the west. I'm 23 and looking for a small fleet, let's say 1000 trucks or less that has nice equiptment and hires in the west. They don't have to be based out west but they must hire in California. Perhaps a company that's governed 65+? Any Ideas?

GTI would be a good place. I think theyre about 1400 trucks. theyre based out of Pacific, WA but have a terminal in central, CA. Pays 30 cpm with no exp and 35 + after one year. Runs a 6-10 fleet and a 10-14 fleet. Claim to be about 98% no touch and are primarily dry van. You could look into central ref as well. they have terminals in cali, but also let you bobtail home (Ive got a neighbor who runs for them n its 9 hours to the closest terminal). Good luck.

I've already driven for gordon and while I did really like it there I would like to drive for a smaller fleet. Gordon right now has about 2000 trucks. I want a company where I can run east on a regular basis.

I would look into Watkins and Shepard out of Missoula, MT. They seem to get many favorable reviews.

Check with Watkins and Shepard. I'm very happy with them as are a lot of people (check the threads on this site). Our fleet is 600 - 700 trucks and so far I'm getting all the miles I can handle.

Let me know if you have any questions about them, I'd be happy to answer.
