It was well known and liked when it was the only truck stop on US 20 for 50 miles in either direction.
Then Pilot built a decent sized TS on the other side of the highway. The lot was paved, lines painted with plenty of space, and plowed in the winter. Def at the pumps, CAT scale, restrooms you didn't have to wait in line for, and corndogs.
I wonder why everyone parks at the Pilot?

Yeah I know. Everyone talks about these "mom & pops" like their so much better than the corporate stops. I bet that old man hadn't put a penny in that T/S for the last 15 years knowing he wouldn't see any ROE at his age.

it'll most likely be a drop yard or switching station for the trucking company that bought it..good luck now in finding truck parking, with all the dropped trailers...
