Smoking and missing

    When I start truck about 1 min it starts to smoke and missing and I shutoff . the truck is not hauling freight just sitting in yard starting a little and turning it off. Out of the clear blue it start runs a min. And starts smoking and missing

    It could be a bad injector . But it won't be intermittent,it'll be constant..it could also be something like a fuel filter clogging.

    Valve stem seals or bad guides will let oil accumulate on top of the piston, especially if a truck sits. Seals get hard. Oil seeps. Gets by valves. Burns off. Smoke.

    Sounds like air in the fuel lines from sitting with crap in the fuel. Change the filters and put fresh fuel in the thing.
