That's the plan. I have been to quite a few of Kroger (or subordinate company) DCs that had bipolar reviews (most of the reviews are either a 1 star or a 5 star, very few in between). Until yesterday, I had been lucky and had a positive visit. Guess my luck has run out.

And just so you know I’ve been there with Shaffer and dynamic and had the same exact results hours upon hours of delays

That's why I say it's a bipolar DC. It's either given a 1 star or a 5 star review. I gave it a 1. And I think, (don't tell Lincoln, I am not authorized to do that)...if Crete didn't have drop trailers there it might have been a different outcome. The these loads are Crete/Shaffer loads. If they didn't have drop trailers there I would have probably been out quicker because the person who closed the load from their home office probably assumed this was a drop load and though the person doing the paperwork at the DC forgot to receive the load and close it out. I actually heard the dock plate drop and the light go green around 20:30. But I had a fair number of different items so I figured it would take them a few hours to sort/segregate/count the load.

And they must employ from a rough neighborhood. I was unloading right across from the employee gate. Every employee who carried any type of bag (soft side mini lunch cooler, small duffel, purse, etc.) had to open it for security coming in and out. Must have a lot of thieves stealing groceries there.

Haven't been to that Kroger but I refuse to go to Lousiville or Memphis again.

LOL first time I've had this msg come across my tablet. Bit windy in Ohio but nothing worthy of a shut down... ODOT hasn't shut it down either as far as I'm aware.

Fear runs deep in this company Screenshot_20251130_103748_Crete.jpg

I think some of our planners went to Big G's planning for dummies school. After getting empty yesterday and getting my N. Platte load picked up, I didn't push it. I was very light and it was windy as crap coming out of TX so I just stopped at the Pilot in Tonkawa. I had originally set my PTA for Monday at 8 to try to get back some sleep after only cat napping occasionally the whole time I was waiting out the unload in Keller. As usual, they completely ignored my PTA and offered me a load that picked up Sunday out of N. Platte but it was going to Chicago for 8 am. I turned it down, then they offered me a Tyson load that loaded Monday and was going to St. Joseph. Even though it was a short run, I accepted it. Then this morning enroute to N. Platte, I get a replacement offer. Holcomb, KS that picked up Monday afternoon going to Greenville for Thursday morning...a 1550 mile run. I accepted it, then went shopping at the Lexington NE Walmart. While in there, they changed their minds again and tried to get me to take a Holcomb to the Chicagoland area, 2 stops that was ready today (even though I couldn't make it there until tomorrow). Now the catch, 300 less miles, and both stops were gonna have to be rescheduled (that word has become a cuss word after the last load). I kinda thought it thru, but figured that I would end up finaling out either Wednesday afternoon, with little or no hours to pick up anything, or else delivering the last stop on the same day as the SC load they took away. I said no thanks, I will be better off going to SC even if I have to wait to pick up. So they unplanned me off the newest load, but didn't immediately give me back the SC load. After I got my groceries put away, I reminded them to preplan me on the SC load, which they did without an argument. That's how Big G used to do, preplan, unplan, preplan new load, unplan new load, preplan previous load...etc. used to drive me nuts. I am OCD about my trip planning, I hate to have to keep changing because they can't make up their ###### mind.

Goodluck getting anything decent after you deliver in SC. I wish they would take this stupid load off me. Been off since Tuesday. Pta was tomorrow at 0900. Gave me a load picking up tomorrow night going to Baltimore Tuesday morning at 0700. 400ish miles. I dont necessarily mind driving overnight but have to return a rental tomorrow morning and been sleeping a normal human schedule. So I lose most of tomorrow and probably Tuesday since im not holding my breath they give me something that'll allow me to stay on nights. I wasnt expecting a GREAT week but coming out Monday morning there shouldn't be an issue getting at least 2000mi for the week

Got loaded here in Colorado load is headed to PA whether or not I deliver it remains to be seen as I have to stop in Lincoln and get a new windshield and hopefully I have just enough hours to make it there tomorrow. If not, it’ll be Tuesday morning
