I work for an O/O with a small fleet, and actually have BC/BS and not on 1099. The real deal DOES exist. Slim Pickings, though.

They are out there! I work for a small outfit that has been around for years, O/O leased to them. No insurance, but I contract, but their drivers, have top of the line everything.

Ive been lucky in cali, excepting that DOT b .. ah... the one between SF and Tech valley whatever it's name is. There is a set of scales eastbound towards Salinas. I have never had a inspection at any scale anywhere exception that one. IF that is what they call inspection in Cali, they can have it.

That's Santa Nella. Big TA just south of there. They are closed a lot.

Just do something stupid when you're going through Banning or Castaic. You'll get your inspection lol.

I would never work for a company that had Force dispatch cuz I'll tell him I quit and don't care what they do

Hey, if freight is in such an abundance that you can pick and choose what you haul, by all means have at it. As a owner op, I'd say More power to you, but if you're a driver for me, you'll get 3 options if they area available, if you don't, then you sit till something else comes up. If nothing comes up and you still refuse to roll, then you can bring the truck back and you can find your way home

Well maybe that would be you but since I own my own stuff and do my own thing lease to a company that doesn't have forced dispatch you get my point

Well see that's a different scenario, the op is a company driver, as am i. You as an o/o should have the option of where to go and when. If not then you'd be a fool
