It sounds like its a lot of trouble to O/O. Why do it? Do you make more money, have more control? I dont mean to sound disrespectful, I'm serious. How about Lease programs? Thanks

Most become an O/O so they have more independence, can say no whenever they want (to a point), make more money than a lot of company drivers (but that depends on what exactly you're doing and for whom) but mostly it's for the independence.

Very few lease programs are worth even looking at so be very careful!

Depending on what you do or who you work for a company driver will probably make more money.

But for me its about the freedom and the control of my life and destinany, more than when one is a company slave.

And I'm the 1 guy in the country making any money leasing. But, I like it....and it allows my wife and I the opportunity to work together...and when we want. But, I must say....buying a truck is in the future..... The more time she spends in the Freightliner....the closer she gets to the KW! WooHoo!!!

Thanks for all the input fellas. I would love to have the freedom you guys have, the money just isnt that important, I'm just afraid to risk what I have. Isn't is kinda scary the way the economy is or can you always find work?
