Nine years in retail (and that was my first job...), but I'd always been fascinated by trucks since I was a little kid. Finally decided to go to driving school, and found one to fit my schedule: I was working full time , and going to school Saturdays and Sundays, 20 hours each weekend, for six months... and the school was about 40 miles from my home.

Lets see, when I was real young I helped my dad who owned a fuel stop and towing business, that is where i found my love for all things truck related. In school I was a dish dog, line cook, then worked as a new/used car prep person for a Chevy dealer which introduced me to auto auctions and car haul. My first job out of high school was as an electrician part time and diesel mechanic for a school bus fleet full time. This is where I obtained my cdl, was the youngest cdl third party tester in Pennsylvania at 19 years old in 1993, worked this job until I turned 21 and started hauling cars and other freight OTR.

Just tested my hand at street industries, had a small stable, no employee base. Paid them 10% of what they took, after all I took all the risks. Then Uncle Sam made me a offer I could not refuse. Thinking of trying the streeet industries again, made better money. Although with all the new regulations makes it hard to make the same money.
