from what i see, the title for this thread is wrong, should read, " Forced to be a lease operator." lol. They push you out of being a company driver with their black and white policy only to want you to buy a truck from them anyway. Whatever.

Naturally it's not as bad as some make it out to be. Just look at all of the success stories on TTR.

Successful lease operators go to Schneider or Prime or Western Flyer Express. Even CRST.

Just don't lease from a company that pays $1.05 per mile. Plenty of places you can pull down $2.50 plus.

$1.05 don't make me laugh. I make in the 1.90's average. don't believe me look at my thread I have the proof to back it up. Been running my lease truck for almost 3 years and just now started buying my own equipment. There are success stories out there and it is possible to complete a lease. You just got to be smart and find the right company and work hard.

Hard work is not the answer. It's about entitlement.

And why do you think it's about entitlement? All I know is I have been busting my butt for almost 3 years and I've never once felt entitled to have my truck. It is definitely about hard work. If you don't come out here ready to put the work in to make your business a success then you will not make it. That is the definition of hard work. When everyone has the opportunity to do a lease contract with a carrier that is not entitlement it is just an opportunity.
