Who knows might end up being a Werner truck.lol. Who cares because at that point in time it will be our truck. At least with it being a fleet truck we know it has had some kind of maintenance. Ive seen some owner op trucks that apparently received little to no maintenance.

The question is, was it good maintenance?

I currently own a ex-JBHunt truck. bought it at 500k.

The kingpins were installed incorrectly at some point, one was installed upside down, therefore it couldn't take grease, therefore, toast. big bucks. Couldn't have been that way from the factory (well, one hopes anyway, it never would have survived 500k)

The oil pan was leaking. (I stop in people's driveways, they all seep, but it can't leak), go to get a new gasket done, the holes to hold up the oil pump are all stripped out. new oil pan. (mercedes :biggrin_25513: ), $2000 Someone had to have been in there before.

The A/C didn't work right at all and it still really doesn't work right (but I'm tired of throwing money at it).

Just like any truck buying, it's a crapshoot. Some O/O trucks are fantastic, some are well, beat to death. Some fleet trucks are fine, some are not.

    good luck.

The Challenger and Baack Thank this.
