The only time u get anything over 34 cents a mile if ur northeast is if you get a load that empty and loaded miles adds up to 100 totals miles not even 101 it has to be 100 or under to get 75 cents a mile. And to get 55 cents a mile both ur empty and loaded have to be 200 total miles or under . U won't see those and if u do it would probably be one a every couple of months if ur lucky

Sliding pay scale for Western Express:
    1-100 miles - .75/mile
    101-200 miles - .50 something (think .55)/mile
    201-600 - .34/mile
    601+ - Base pay rate (.26-.32/mile)

WRONG ROBERT & YOU'RE WITH SAFETY? 01-100 MILES=.75 cents per mile, 101-200=55 cents per mile & 201-400=34 cents per mile. THAT'S TOP PAY BY THE WAY FOR VAN DIVISION!!! THEN HERE'S THE CATCH, THEY AVERAGE ALL OF YOUR MILES OUT & YOU NEVER GET 75 CENTS PER MILE!!! My advice to anyone is I would stay the Heck away!!! I would not recommend WSXI aka (Western Express Inc/Holdings or what ever they choose to call themselves) to my worst ENEMY!!!! YOU CONSTANTLY HAVE TO FIGHT FOR THE PAY YOU HAVE COMING LIKE THE WHOPPING $35.00 FOR LAYOVER/BREAKDOWN PAY. BELIEVE ME YOU WILL BE DOING A LOT OF SITTING!!!!! UNLESS YOU RUN FLATBED!!! THEY HAVE THE HIGHEST RATING THAT DOT ALLOWS which is:100. It might have went down to 99 ?!?!
