    You build it!!!

    Been searching for a real short sleeper BBC, BUT with a mid roof or stand up sleeper, I have come up empty, so we took one of our high mileage trucks and decided to build one, I'll keep you posted as we get closer.

    It's either going to work great,,,,,,,,or be junk, have to wait and see, (insert evil laugh here) lol 2017102295122917.jpg 2017102295124321.jpg 2017102295122906.jpg 2017102495140630.jpg 2017102495140615.jpg 2017102495140608.jpg

    I can't take credit for the cut and slice, buddy of mine is doing that at his body shop, I just took all the measurements and had the hair brained idea!

    Good luck with your plans.

    My fav project from the '80s .
    Custom interior with KW gauges, custom milled cherry wood dash panel, reupholstered seats, custom built diamond tufted headliner, pleated upholstered doghouse, every gauge I could think of, replaced steel with polished aluminum fuel tanks, rerouted the exhaust, chrome side strips, diamond aluminum deck plate behind the cab, the whole 9 yards. It didn't haul anymore cars but it sure looked good! I wish I had more pictures.
    Cost twice as much as expected, took 3 times longer than planned, the usual scenario.
    BUT
    You couldn't buy one at the IH store!

    Can't find a cabover that would work?

    I mean, I'm sure you're gonna end up with a winner, but there's an awful lot of work involved in sectioning a sleeper. Or any other part of a vehicle body, for that matter.

    KANSAS TRANSIT and x1Heavy Thank this.

    Smaller than one of these? They don't have cabinets, the bed is right behind the seat.

    Looks like yours will be a few inches shorter when it's done.

    @KANSAS TRANSIT
    When they extend a Volvo cab they don't cut the whole cab straight.
    Cut it in a Z pattern.(the downward part off the Z is offcourse straight down,not at a angle)
    So all the welds aren't in 1 line.
