I get my tags through Landstar although I did run my own tag the first year as I already had it. I've had my physical damage with OOIDA since 2003, and nobody has been able to beat their rate. YMMV though since I get a big discount for being with them so long with great loss runs.

I'm going to get a quote from OOIDA for my physical damage and see what Landstar can do on the rate. Trucks worth 20 grand at most so I would think the rate is not going to very high. I will say though, holy crap on workers comp! 102 a week in the great state of IL!!!

What is ccp? Are you talking about occupational accident or unladen insurance, if so the answer is no. Nobody will right the policies the way Landstar requires, therefore everyone else's is not acceptable. Shady, I know. If the pricing on it was outrageous, I pitch more of a fit, but the pricing is in line with what OOIDA is priced at.

    milskired Thanks this.

It was in the info they sent me, either you could get workers comp, or this other plan, I'm not close enough to it to see what the name was, but I opted for it since it was way cheeper than the workers comp.
