All I can do is attempt to answer the reporting back to home state question. I got a speeding ticket in NM that never found its way back to Georgia my home state at the time. Same with a ticket I got in NC. Neither was ever on my MVR or DAC. It is a shell game about this reporting back. Best advice I can give has already been give.

If it was a county or city cop many times it will not get reported to your home state...Trooper is a different story...Either way a lawyer is the only way to go. I always find a lawyer that has an office right near the court house the ticket will be heard at...It works very well if the lawyer knows the DA and Judge...worth every penny!

Both my tickets NM and NC were issued by Troopers. Neither were reported.

Im pretty sure it matters whether its a court of record or not. If it is, they report all tickets. If it's not, then nobody will ever know about it.

I have a perfectly clean driving record, yet I'm on a first name basis with the local yokum cops in the little podunk town I live in. They've stopped me for everything. Window tint on a used car that had the tint on it when I bought it, running a red light, speeding, you name it. But they aren't a court of record so I pay them their 160 dollars and all is well in neverland.

The clean record will help a lot! The lawyer can do wonders with that!
