I’ve been driving flatbed local in the dfw area for five years hauling steel products.Since the economy took a dump and the company I work for may lay me off I have started to look around at possible OTR jobs. Can anyone help me with any suggestions on a good flatbed company?:biggrin_25518:

Maverick is one I have seen mentioned on here quite a bit. There should be a thread on them, just hit the search at the top. Notarps4me drives for them currently.

I've seen a lot of good feedback on TMC too, not sure if they hire in TX though.

Check Roehl, they have a flat bed division and a yard in Garland.

Be prepared to have your experience not count at most places. Roehl hires on the national fleet out of Dallas. They have the find-a-fleet page on their website that'll show you what they hire in each ZIP.

If heavy is what you like, you might give ATS (Anderson Trucking Service) a try. Their website says they hire Flatbed/Specialized and Heavy Haul out of Texas. I wanted to go with them, getting into the heavy haul, before I got my other part-time job.
