Im excited, I did a little truck driving in the military and enjoyed it. And so far the process has been very simple with raider.

I am a wannabe. I really appreciate if you can share some information. I assume that the company sponsors you the tuition.
- How long would you be committed to the company? 6 months, 1 year ...
- How much is cpm when you starts driving for them?
- Does the starting cpm change after certain months you work for them?
- Do they offer OTR insurance, health insurance, detention pay...?
- Any other benefit

Good for you. You will get some good refrigerated experience working there. Anyone in the Dallas/Ft. Worth area looking for trucking company CDL training should at least consider this company when making comparisons.

If this is the same Raider company I am thinking about, there was a pretty bad thread about them. You might want to search for it on here and read through it. Something about the driver not being paid and cussing the driver out or something like that. It's been a while since I read it. A few people who work in the office actually got on here and posted in that thread.

Ive read every post on them that I could find, im not to concerned about the paycheck and cussing issue, if that was true im sure it was a isolated issue, and doesnt happen very often. Seems the company has great values. Ive spoken with numerous drivers at the local truckstops and havent heard anything bad come out of there kouth, they get the miles they want, the hometime they want, and get paid when its time to be paid. Sounds good enough to me.

I am paying the full amount for school through them, it is not a contract company. I didnt come into this thinking my schooling would be free if I stayed somewhere for a certain period of time. There is a "Value" to them paying for the school up front and letting us pay it out.
They do have insurance, but I do not have the details of that yet.
They do give you a paycheck during school.
Cpm starts at .30 without any fuel bonuses, and by the end of the first year can be .38
They have good values, easy to deal with so far, and are not a "mega" -
First week is over, I really have nothing negative to say! I've got all my CDL test taken at the DMV except for the road test! It's all business at Raider Express!
