In utah. It's a safety AND emissions for vehicles that are at least 6 years. Get's done every year.
Less then 6 years it's every other year.
On january 1. The safety inspection program ceases to exist. But the emissions is still in play. But the emissions only plays in the 4 populous counties. Utah, Salt Lake, Davis, and Weber counties. The rest of the sate will simply just be able to register or renew.
I guess the semis will be getting dot inspections now instead of state inspections.
