States with no sales tax on tires

Maybe call the shops in states like Mt etc that dont have sales tax and see what they say mate?

Ohio and Pennsylvania don't charge sales tax for those with operating authority. This goes for all work and purchases. You need the MC#, and your company (that has the authority) would have to sign the tax exempt form (you do this at the shop), and they file it with the state on their own.

I was thinking that Indiana didn't have sales tax on tires also.

FYI, different states have different requirements for tax exemption.
Illinois is 10x more painful than Missouri is for example.

That is correct Oscar. Indiana has sales tax exemption with an MC number. Actually it on all trk parts and even the purchase of a trk.

Oregon has no sales tax. But that doesn't mean they don't hit tires with some other tax. I don't know about that.
