I think the old rules could be updated without any safety sacrifices that bureaucrats and those citizen committees cling to.
Let drivers split their 10 any way they need as long as it's 10 off/sleeper every 24. -
mp4694330, kemosabi49 and Dennixx Thank this.

The majority of drivers have no clue what hos was like before they took up the career.
They wouldn't have the foggiest idea what to chime in about. -
All this HOS to be relaxed talk lately. What do they want to relax exactly? Get rid of14 hours?
-
They relax nothing. You watch.
All they would have to go is go back to 1962 HOS more or less. And a economy that will support a easy 300 mile days with 12 days to California and another 12 back.
It is evident we have a new generation born here going into trucking or coming over to America (HELLO!>.. and god help you...) to do some trucking. Knowing nothing about HOS. Poor things. -
Supposedly the hos was in play for 75 years. Something like that.
So. 2004 would be the year. Or whenever it was they screwed it up. -
TallJoe Thanks this.
