I was employed by day and ross for just under a year, I signed onto a dedicated account with a guaranteed pay per day, shortly after I started they took that away, and couldent keep me running or stuck me with lots of live unloads at Walmart and us foods that were partial loads, they advertised 100k a year which was a joke and a straight up lie, the trucks are ridiculously slow 65, on top of being loaded to the max, on every load, there in cab facing camera constantly malfunctions, and there eld system they use people net sucks as well and constantly goes off, they count you sitting in a dock waiting to get unloaded as part of your 10 hour break, so if you could not get away sleep because there banging around freight in the back of your trailer they expect you to run to your next load, each payday it's always some excuse why it isn't what it should be, at least 10 hours a week average, you don't get paid because of live unloads. and of course most trucking company's do this to the driver. but alot of companies don't make you strictly do walmarts or something ridiculous like that. they micro manage you a unbelievable amount, to the point where I would turn my phone off at the end of my employment, and even call me on hometime, can only fuel at pilot, unless you wanted to wait forever for a efs code. and sure you can say alot of companies do alot of these things to their drivers, but at the same time those company's are all classified as bad companies to work at.
Stay away from day and ross, a%s kindard

I don't know how man....you seemed to have described trucking, particularly at a powerhouse company, in a nutshell. Sleeping at shippers and receivers, or using that clock to stay moving is the only you'll make good money in trucking. Drivers that have a rigidity in how they run, in my opinion, will have a difficult time making decent money.

90% of these larger Candian Carriers are all the same. The Majority will take on a independent O/o in these times in order of covering a seat either becauae a few company driver left or other O/o. Another number to the fleet without a good work culture amongst the fleet. I spoke to a Top Regional Managers out of their Hartlamd, NB yard/office and he waa trying to sell me a false dream. Ironcally in the few years I realized that most of these larger carriers and some ignorant smaller ones figure once the O/o signs they're a manipulated disposal working mule & nothing else. With so much good local opportunities for AZ Drivers especially locally I dont see why a driver would expose themselves to these types of trucking companies when there are well paying ones locally without the turnover ratios.
