Stereo in my semi will work fine as long as I don't key the mic up. When I key the mic up the stereo will go silent. And if I key the mic up for more than 3 sec the stereo will not come back on. It will say wiring issue. I have to turn the truck off to get the radio to come back on, and the stereo will work fine again. The cb itself works great but for some reason I'm having issues when talking on the cb and it effecting my stereo. Does anyone have any ideas on where to start. Truck is a 389 pete. I'm running dual antenna's and a Stryker 955 cb. Just got the truck recently. Coax, antennas were all in the truck. I put my cb in and have been having troubles ever since I started. There was no issues in the truck this cb was in prior

Run one antenna, replace the coax with a good coax (not truck stop crap), and possibly the antenna mount.

Was waiting for a reply to add this - think about grounding straps, you have an issue with RF leakage which is caused by Common Mode Current.

Just for giggles, lower your transmit power, key the mike, and see if the problem persists

It's due to the output power of the radio. I have 3 different export radios comparable to a 955 (and one of those too) and the same thing happened in 3 different trucks with dedicated CB antenna systems. One of the map lights used to light up in the Cascadia too! I think it's a good thing! Keeps BoBo heads from playing their FM radio over the CB!

Yeah my exports sometimes cause my GPS to glitch when transmitting on full power
