Hey guys I've got a 07 Sterling dump truck with a 14L 60 Series Detroit. It started to randomly act up.

The turbo stops spooling and truck starts to smoke up from the exhaust. It randomly goes away and the truck starts to run fine for a few days and does it again.

I've replaced the boost pressure sensor, inspected the turbo, fins are good, spins freely, no wobble, no oil.

What is going on! The shop says there are no active engine codes that are on.

If it is a 07 it will be a DDEC 6 so no vpod. It will have a VGT turbo with an actuator. There are tests that need to be run on turbo/ injector performance with laptop that has DDDL 8.07 or higher version installed on it.
