I believe you can take advantage of a room. Wendy told me it was available if I wanted. Hey, can I have the money instead?:biggrin_2559:

Do whatever you can afford. For example. SpyderRyder will commute daily to class. Unfortunately, I will have to stay at the Extended Stay America because I'm not taking my POV. I didn't want to leave my new truck in the parking lot for 6-9 weeks while training.

When are you going to start class?

I don't know about others, but hearing "what's happening every day in school" is educational for me. Everyone has a different experience, even in the same room at the same time, and I can never have enough information. Of course, you may not have time and/or energy to write about your experience, but at least one reader will appreciate whatever you do write!

I think the magic number is 150/90 without medication or under a doctor's care. Someone please correct me if I am wrong on the blood pressure numbers.

If I were you, I would start today and eliminate all caffeine e.g., cola, coffee, energy drinks, chocolate, etc. No salt what so ever. I would start a vegetarian diet. No processed prepackaged quick foods that contain high fructose corn syrup, dextrose, MSG, white rice, corn, potatoes, trans fats, or anything with enriched white flower. Read the labels before buying.

    DenaliDad and Nycmex77 Thank this.

Not to fret me laddie. SpyderRyder will chronicle his time at Stevens training (we are in the same class.) Look for his post about his blog spot in this thread. I will write about my highs and lows while in class, OTR w/ a trainer, etc.

If you have any specific questions, send me a PM or Email me at: http://scr.im/29uu

It's actually 140/90 on the BP for a regular clearance on the medical card...over that up to 180/100 I believe and the doc. will clear you for 90 days to bring it down. Over 180/100 & you can't get cleared. Also if you end up needing to take meds for your BP...as I do, your card is only good for 1 year not 2.
