At one time TMC wouldn’t take anyone that’s had a hernia repair, not sure if that’s still their policy. I wonder how many workers comp claims they’ve had.

Never had one of those but it would be something to be concerned about for strenuous work.

I thought Roehl was supposed to be a worthwhile company. What actually happened that severed FVTC relationship? I know they used them as their training school at one time.

OK. Yes it was 80 lbs. On the tarps. I was there in 2010. Getting old can suck.

Couldn't tell you. I do know now, they are a bunch of over picky pricks that will fire over nothing. Even if under contract for their so called training.

Without knowing what the circumstances are, it seems pretty counterproductive for Roehl or any company to invest any amount of time in someone only to turn around and fire them over what may be something minor. I drove city buses for a major metro system with my last company. They had cameras all over the interior and exterior including drive cam. As an example, they had zero tolerance policy for electronic devices of any type on the bus. You would be fired without question. My last company used to say the company didn't fire you, you fired yourself.

it seems that way in theory, but remember, theyre getting a government kick back for training new cdl drivers AND charging any gycdl applicant 7k if they fail

if you fail out in the first hour of day one, or if you fail the cdl grad test in week 3, you owe 7k.

now when i was with them, my home terminal had between 7-10 new gycdl students every single monday. id say the course had a 30% pass rate. they would be lucky to get at most 4 per class to pass, usually it was 1-2 and the rest failed, if you got lucky enough that the terminal manager liked you, you would get a second chance, and even then most fail.

they make their highest profit margin from gycdl and lease operators.
