Call your company have the Permit Drone Office worker hand you a new tag. They will process the stolen tag claim like anything else.

You have to have a tag on that trailer. You might have to overnight somewhere while they priority overnight a tag to your truckstop fuel desk in care of so you have it when it gets there.

I always took one off another trailer.
Carried a couple of extras I bought at a Las Vegas Casino souvenir shop.

Get A police report that states tag fell off in their town or city and have it sent to co. or use it to show scales if stop on way back home to buy a new tag?

A piece of cardboard with "lost tag" written on it in sharpie pen works pretty good......On a somewhat similar subject, why do I see so many trucks going down the highway with their front plates attached with twisty ties to the grill, usually sagging ? Seems not too many drivers have access to a drill and screws to attach to the bumper.

I don't want to drill into my shiny bumper. So I'm gonna bolt my plate to the grill, low and centered. This is, of course, provided the darned state ever RELEASES my plate!

Twisty ties or zippy ties as I like to call them is not considered permanent. My buddy got wrote up for that in PA. The cop said it had to be bolted down. Your right though, I see a lot doing it. Big shiny hood and bumper, shiny grill with zip tied plate?????? LOL

Because I use my bumper to display my oversize load sign and I don't want to cover my plate.

Op report the plate stolen. Use the police report to explain, if asked.

A twist tie I can understand, but a zip tie is just as permanent as a couple screws.
