Straight truck aerodynamics

    I am looking to improve aerodynamics on an International 4300 straight truck in hopes of improving driveability and fuel mileage. I think the cab has a fairly aerodynamic design compared to older internationals but it is still just a big rectangle box rolling down the road. So far the truck has no aerodynamic mods. I am thinking of adding a full front fairing first, but have not seen any for sale for straight trucks. Does anyone have any suggestions for mods and any retailers in the mid atlantic/northeast region?

    Have seen Nosecones on body in years past. But a cab roof fairing would probably be more aero. The rear airtail thing seen on many trailers seems to get good reviews as far as doing what is proposes. Many don't care for the looks of them. Alot depends on how many miles a year you will drive it. If you think you'll spend $ 30 k per year on fuel and an add on costs $ 5 hundred one time with no extra maintenance, but saves 5% (which works out to be $ 1,500 per year savings, it would be a no brainer.
    I have used a Nosecone on a trailer for many years and would not have a dry van without it, but I only own one unit. Good luck

    if you have swing doors, a trailer tail would be the first thing I would do. #2 would be a side skirt
